Lipscomb University offers a supportive, accountable residential environment.
Residence halls provide a fun, inclusive atmosphere for meeting new friends and
building relationships that will last a lifetime. Residence halls also provide a productive
environment that is conducive to studying. When former students recall their time at
Lipscomb, they always have enthusiastic memories of fun times in the halls.
Because Residential Life is a crucial bonding experience and a life-changing part of the
Lipscomb experience, we encourage all students to live on campus. Freshmen,
sophomores and juniors are required to live on campus (unless they are living at home
with their parents in the Nashville area).
Lipscomb University maintains five residence halls, with the capacity to house
approximately 1,400 students. Female residence halls are Elam Hall, Fanning Hall and
Johnson Hall. Male residence halls are High Rise and Sewell Hall. Each residence hall
is unique, offering different features and points of attraction. In general, all halls have
comfortable lobbies, conveniently located vending machines and laundry facilities and
highly accessible computer labs. These features make residential life more comfortable
and convenient.
Tour a residence hall on any given day, and you'll find young men or women hanging
out in the lobby, chatting with friends, studying together or participating in all-inclusive
organized activities. Residence Life at Lipscomb is the way to go!
