Lipscomb University offers a premiere educational experience, characterized by faith informed learning and a superior academic environment. We feel called to make Christ-centered education available to as many students as possible, whatever their geographic location or financial background.

To that end, we offer a wide variety of scholarships, both merit-based and need-based, to create new opportunities for all students. A FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is required for most institutional awards.

Here are some of the Lipscomb scholarships available:

  • Academic Scholarships - These awards are given to first time freshmen, transfer students and continuing students. Use our scholarship calculator to see how much you could receive!

  • Transfer Scholarships - These scholarships are awarded to undergraduate transfer students, according to the strength of their college GPA on their most recent transcript. Find out how much you could receive by using our scholarship calculator.

  • Phi Theta Kappa - A limited number of renewable scholarships are available to Phi Theta Kappa members. Applicants must be admitted by June 15, be enrolled full-time and have a minimum 3.5 GPA, with at least 50 hours.

  • Dean's Research Grant - Lipscomb awards a limited number of non-renewable Dean's Research Grants. Recipients are selected by college deans.

  • Diversity Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to a first-time student on the basis of ethnic background and demonstrated financial need. The Diversity Scholarship covers up to $2,000 in costs each year.

  • Employment Discounts - Lipscomb University offers tuition discounts to students whose parents or spouses are employed full-time in certain Christian works that are associated with the churches of Christ.

  • Minister's Children Grant - Lipscomb University offers a minimum base grant to the children of full-time ministers of the Church of Christ.
