Every year, Lipscomb employs hundreds of students across campus. If you qualify for
work-study, we'll help you find a job on campus. You can get work experience, make
money and learn new skills in a flexible and supportive environment.
Federal work-study is awarded on the basis of need. In a work-study job, the federal
government helps subsidize the student's wages, making it easier for various campus
organizations to hire the student. To qualify for federal work-study, you must file the
FAFSA.
Work-study is not a credit to your account! You must obtain employment, earn
wages and then apply them to your account.
The funds that you receive at your work-study job will be paid to you directly, and can
go towards paying for your educational or education-related expenses. To find the right
work-study job for you, visit the Career Center online,
and click on the link for eRecruiting. Federal work-study jobs, as well as regular student
jobs, are listed here and frequently updated.
You might find other employment opportunities by checking with various organizations
or offices on campus, such as the library, residence life, the admissions department or
any academic departments that are relevant to your field of study. Actively pursuing a
work-study job that compliments your studies or career interests is the best way to
make the most of your work-study award.
