Note: Students must be enrolled in 12 hours each semester to qualify for most federal and institutional aid. Amounts shown are presented over the course of eight semesters.
NATIONAL MERIT FINALIST AND SEM-FINALIST SCHOLARSHIPS
National Merit finalists and semi-finalists receive a full tuition scholarship plus $2,000.
Confirmation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation is required.
Scholarship recipients must maintain a GPA of 3.25 or above.
PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
The presidential scholarship recognizes truly outstanding high school seniors
who have earned a 30 or above on the ACT or a 1320 or above on the SAT
with an award valued at either $40,000 or $44,000. Your application for
admission will serve as your application for this scholarship. Students who
attend the Presidential Weekend will receive an additional $1,000 voucher for
a Lipscomb Study Abroad program. The event is scheduled for February 10-13,
2010. Presidential Scholarship recipients must maintain a GPA of 3.00 or above.
PROVOST SCHOLARSHIPS
Lipscomb awards these scholarships to high-achieving academic students. The
awards are based on ACT/SAT scores (see scale above). Recipients must
maintain a GPA of 3.00 or above.
BISON ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Lipscomb awards $1,500 per year to students who demonstrate potential for
academic success but did not qualify for one of our academic scholarships.
Recipients must maintain a GPA of 3.00 or above. Contact an admissions
recruiter for specific details.
STATE SCHOLARSHIPS
State scholarships automatically award $1,000 to out-of-state residents who are admitted to
Lipscomb. State scholarships can be combined with all other scholarships (except
National Merit Finalist and Semi-Finalist scholarships) and will be renewed for four years
provided the student maintains a GPA of 3.25 or above. Be sure to ask your recruiter about
other scholarships that may apply to your particular state.
VISION AWARD
Lipscomb awards annual $1,000 scholarships to students who demonstrate strong leadership
in their vision and determination to pursue a college eduaction. Prospective students who
meet AT LEAST 3 of the criteria below and are admitted to Lipscomb University will be awarded
an annual scholarship of $1,000. To qualify, a student must be a U.S. citizen and maintain a
minimum 2.0 G.P.A. while enrolled.
- Is the first generation in the family to attend college
- Grew up in a single parent household
- Attended a public metropolitan high school
- Is a member of an ethnic group that is under-represented at Lipscomb
Only students who meet at least three of the criteria above are eligbile for this award. If you

TRUSTEE SCHOLARSHIPS
This prestigious full-tuition scholarship is awarded to five freshmen who are
selected through an interview process. To be eligible to apply for this
scholarship, a student must have scored a 30 or higher on the ACT or 1320 or better
on the SAT. Contact your admissions recruiter for specific details. Recipients must
live on campus and maintain a GPA of 3.25 or above. The 2010 Trustee Scholarship deadline
has already passed.
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
Employment Discounts- Lipscomb University offers tuition discounts to
students whose parents or spouses are employed full-time in certain Christian
works that are associated with the Church of Christ.
Minister's Children Grant- Lipscomb University offers a minimum base grant
to the children of full-time ministers of the Church of Christ.
Lipscomb University Memorial Awards- Memorial Scholarships are available
to some students with demonstrated need (based on FAFSA results.
